    Strong Family Connections

Toddlers are curious, energetic learners who thrive when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore. At Stepping Stones @ Yerrabi Ponds, we’re creating a space where your child can build confidence, practise independence, and connect with others through meaningful, play-based experiences. Our toddler room encourages movement, communication and hands-on learning, all guided by educators who understand the joy and challenge of this important stage.

Supporting Growth and Development

Toddlers learn best through movement, exploration and real-life experiences. At this stage, children are developing rapidly — building their confidence, language, and understanding of the world around them.

Our educators support each child’s growing independence while offering gentle guidance and encouragement across key areas of development:

  • Through small challenges and everyday routines, children gain a sense of capability and self-trust.

  • We support language through conversation, songs, stories and opportunities for children to express themselves.

  • Play is how toddlers make sense of the world — we create rich environments that invite curiosity and problem-solving.

  • With space to move, climb, stack and create, toddlers develop both gross and fine motor coordination through active learning.

A Stimulating and Supportive Environment

Our toddler spaces are designed to support movement, connection and growing independence. We create an environment where children feel safe to explore, try new things and build confidence as they navigate the world around them.

A Day in Our Toddler Room

Each day in our toddler room follows a gentle rhythm that balances active play, quiet moments, and plenty of connection. Children start their day with a warm welcome and time to settle in, followed by opportunities to explore, create, and move through purposeful play. Our educators guide the day with calm transitions, shared mealtimes, and stories or songs that support language and belonging. Rest time is respected according to each child’s needs, and outdoor play gives toddlers the space to stretch, climb, and connect with nature.
